Some artists cannot be labeled with just genre as they fit into more than just one. Me’sha bryan is such an artist. As a child she started out as many children, playing the recorder, later on she played the trumpet in the school orchestra. It wasn’t until she turned 17 that she discovered her passion for singing. It was her music teacher who took her fear to perform as a singer publicly.
A lot has happened since her humble beginnings when she performed at weddings… she has worked with Roxy Music &Beverley Knight and has supported Bryan Ferry during the Dylanesque Tour. Me’sha bryan is supported by Alan Mian on the bass guitar, David Birnie E-guitar and Darren ashford on the drums. Her style can only be described as ecclectic, or as she proudly says – the Me’sha Bryan sound. It’s a fusion of acoustic soul, rock, pop as well as reggae, an influence she inherited of her jamaican parents. Me’sha tours england and was featured in the radio shows Inside with Ingo julius and Neo Soul Lounge, Radio Weser TV Bremerhaven.
